Sitting Twist / Vakrasana helps to realign the spine to its natural state and relaxes the muscles of the back. It gives a gentle squeeze on the abdomen, which works to massage the digestive organs. It is improving digestion and elimination. This pose also stretches and strenghtens the back, while relaxing the hip joints.
Energetically, Vakrasana works on the Mooladhara (Root) and Swadhistana (Sacral) Chakra.
