The fifth limb of yoga, Pratyahara, is commonly associated with withdrawal of the senses. In another sense, this can also be called a 'coming back home' to the self.
We either tend to focus on external objects, or on events which happened in the past or are going to happen in the future; & in that very externalized focus, we lose our selves. Pratyahara is the absence of these; & what is left is our 'home', just our pure selves.
